Here at Pleasant Valley Lofts And Aviary we breed the following breeds of pigeon: Chinese Nasal Tufts, Archangles, Brunner Pouters, Czeck Ice Pouters, Racing Homers, Italian Owls, And Valencian Figuritas. We have been raising pigeons since 2000. My first pair of pigeons were a pair of White racing homers which I got from a friend of mine who had been raising pigeons for years. From then on I was hooked. In late 2000, early 2001 I got into Ringneck Doves. I got rid of that pair and all their babies in late 2001 and I didn't get any more until October of 2004 I now have several different colors of Ringnecks.
In 2001 I also got my first chickens. They were Old English bantams, Then I got Pheonix and silkie bantams. I also have a few mixed breeds I free range.
In September of 2004 I got 2 pair of call ducks and I also got my first quail and partridge. I had Moutain and pharoah quail as well as a pair of Chinese Bamboo partridge. But thanks to a racoon I no longer have the moutain quail, the Chinese or the original pharoah quail. I now have button quail and three pharoah quail.
I also raise some parrots, I have Budgies (parakeets, Lovebirds, Cockatiels, and I have two pair of Rosey Bourkes Parakeets. Right now I breed the keets, tiels and lovebirds. I need to set up boxes for the bourkes.
